This was interesting on many levels. First of all, we were baffled by the title as the image has nothing to do with Spain. The piece, from the 17th c. is actually titled “arriving in Japan”. We aren’t sure if this was a mistake or an intentional deceit. It is probably from 1969, there is a figural with that date, and there is also a lithograph we found from the same year of the image that it was probably made from. It is very wide, a lot of line cuts, but not so hard that you want to walk away, so a very good puzzle.
In has some wear on the piece edges, but overall in good shape. Few pieces have a little bit of uplifting starting to show. 1 Figural piece was repaired, there is 1 chipped knob and 1 figural with small chip on the toe of the piece.
Box is in good condition.
