This is a rather strange image apparently called “To Protect Our Way of Living”. From our research, it appears to have been from a calendar that came out during WW2 as a propaganda piece to support the war for what we are guessing is a brighter future. Is interesting puzzle after learning more about the context. Also an unusual cut with the “butterfly edge” as well. This is an earlier Par, could be 40s based on the image. One interesting note about the cut, it contains a seahorse piece (Par’s signature piece) carrying a top hat. We have only seen a very small number of Pars with this style seahorse.
It does have a few condition issues: 2 older replacement pieces that are “so-so” (see pics), some small chips on knobs, 1 pc has a painted knob, box in fair condition, some discoloration on pieces that we often see on older Pars, some chips on back layer. If you are interested in having higher quality replacement pieces made, or other repair work, let us know and we can connect you with an expert who does this work.
