This is an extremely rare Stave LE Puzzle given both its very early age (1978 and only the 3rd in the season). This puzzle is part of a 4 part series on the seasons.

We believe these were hand-painted and each one that we have seen has different coloring and is unique. From Stave history we have researched, we believe this is the first Limited Edition puzzle they released and did hear at one point that it was the first puzzle Stave designed (as opposed to licensing art to create a puzzle), although we aren’t 100% sure if that is the case. Given this info, this may very be one of the first LEs ever made by Stave.

It is a really special puzzle. Take a look at the top right corner, there is a very elaborate drop out that really adds that extra touch to this amazing design. The cracked ice is also a fun addition as well as some other nice features. It’s a very fun puzzle and a great addition to any puzzle collection.

In very good condition. 1 replacement piece (see pic), little uplifting and showing signs of a little wear and the label is a little torn (see pic) – but overall in very nice shape. 1 personal piece (initials). Note: There are only 2 “Ho” pieces with this puzzle. We have seen the same puzzle with 3 (“Ho, Ho, Ho” we assume), so may be missing 1 However, it’s not part of the solution, just a little add-on for decoration.
