This is a very unusual Par, we have never seen one in 4 sections like this before and it was an interesting puzzle to work on. The risqué artwork appears to come from a set of playing cards designed in the 50s from a French artist called Le Florentin (a person from Florence). It is unclear how the images got enlarged to this size for a puzzle and couldn’t find a poster that looked like this, so maybe you’ll have better luck with your internet sleuthing to find the source! By the way, if you are curious about what the title means, it is an old expression that means something along the lines of chasing an unattainable dream. Kind of dark, so another mystery to unravel with this puzzle!
Artist: Paul-Émile Bécat
Excellent condition. 1 personal piece (initials). 1 piece with a very small chip in the top wood layer of a bit of the knob – not very noticeable.
