This is an amazing HUGE par puzzle in top condition, we rarely see ones in this great of shape, especially one of this age. From our research it looks like this image was issued as both a generic map and also as an advertisement for an airline called BOAC (UK’s state owned airline at the time). Given the dropouts around the title and the fact Par was known to use a lot of travel posters it was most likely the BOAC version. It appears to date from the late 50’s to early 60s. The puzzle itself was divided into 2 boxes with the bottom portion labeled as Act 1 and the top as Act 2 (you can see in the pictures where the cut line was midway through the puzzle). If you really want to make this a challenge we suggest mixing both boxes before starting! It’s a great way to learn all about all sorts of British history and important places. A really amazing piece of art!
In top condition. Only very minor issue we noticed is one small knob was a little loose and that was repaired. The boxes themselves were taped with a little scotch tape on each side. Has 2 personal pieces (initials). (Note: When we counted the pieces it was about 50 pcs higher than what the boxes said.)
