This is one of this most rare LEs we’ve come across given only 17 were made (this is the first time we’ve heard of this puzzle, let alone had a copy).  We aren’t sure where to start as it’s a very unique puzzle.  First, it contains 4 levels, a placemat, plate, fish and finally the fish bones.  The bottom 2 layers are the trickier parts and the top 2 are traditional puzzles.  Second, the fish skeleton layer is cut from plastic pieces, something we haven’t seen in a Stave before in a standalone puzzle.  Third, there is an extra spin top solving the placemat layer (see more info below).  Last, it’s just a fabulous and extremely creative design that was a joy to work on.

Note: The puzzle originally shipped with a pouch with a lock that you’d only get the code to after proving you had solved the placemat layer correctly, you then have some additional pieces to place, that’s all we’ll share about this.  We created this extra step by placing these pieces in a separate bag (you are on the honor system to solve in the correct order!).  Only part of the placemat layer is shown in the pictures so as not to reveal too much for the solution.

In excellent condition. No personal pieces. Appears to be hand painted.  1 replacement piece made by Stave.
